1st Mycobacterium bovis American Regional Conference

Mycobacterium bovis is the causative agent of bovine tuberculosis, a disease that was recognized more than 100 years ago and still has significance consequences in animal and public health.

The Organizing Committee is pleased to announce that the 1st Mycobacterium bovis American Regional Conference will be held in Mérida, México during August 2012. The conference aims to promote communication among experts in the field, that leads to solutions of regional problems in the American continent. Topics will include among others; Diagnostics, Vaccination, Epidemiology, Pathogenesis, Immune Response, Wildlife, Disease Control and Host Resistance.

Mérida is a walking colonial city located in the Yucatán peninsula. Some of the touristic destinations in the area include: Cancún, Ciudad del Carmen, Isla Mujeres, Riviera Maya, Cozumel and some mayan archeological places like; Chichén Itzá and Uxmal.
